00 Sonoma Build

Well i bought myslef another little project to play with. Theres goin to be alot done to it in time, i just need to get some money together to start buying everything. So i bought this truck for 600 buck with a blown brake line and "not running". got the truck towed home hooked up the booster cables and she turned over first time.

Heres the truck when i first got it home.

Shortly after getting it home the cap had to come off, lol

currently in the process of eliminating all the unneeded stuff in the truck. heres the pics from the 2nd day i had the truck

the old owners had no clue what this truck was in for when i bought it, lol well i got the bed off.... one man job lol

frame is rusty but it doesnt seem bad

and for shits and gigs what the notch would look like if i mounted it ontop of the frame.... gonna do it the right way tho

well cleaned up the back end abit more today, no more charcoal canister.... might move it under the cab. depending on where theres room, also cut the exhaust off at the muffler just so it was outa my way. gonna make up some dumby link bars at work tonite to test to figure out where the notch is goin forsure. heres the pics of the clean uo


also cut the frame on the passenger side to test the notch

well more work was done on the truck today, shocks are gone, leafs were removed(pain in the asss) and a temp 2 link was put in.
frame at stock height, back of the frame was 27.5"inch off the ground and the frame at the back of the cab was 12"

now sitting on the stock bumpstops the back of the frame is 14" off and the cab is 8.5" off, with no notch

fuck i think i'm done on the back end for awhile, lol kinda sucks, i was having fun, got the notchs in a drop it down, lol

combination of today and yesterdaym inner fenders came out, battery relocated to front bumper for now, ecu chilling ontop of the engine, fuse box ontop of the engine, moved some more wires around, removed the ac rad, and took out the abs and just hook the front brakes up straight to the master cylinder for now. heres some pics

well its not like anyone actually pays attenion to this place anymore but whatever i'm posting everything here still. decided to ditch the spare tire xmember, add some filler plates to the notchs so its not so ghetto and drop the gas tank, hopefully get more done tomarow.

steering column is out, and everything is disconnected, just need to hoist the cab off the frame

well all my weekends work ended up paying off. i pulled the cab off.... its ghetto and took awhile but its done now

alrite got some more work done today, cleaned up the rear frame, got rid of the shit i dont need now

put in the carrier bearing x member today, looks wickedm really need to get some wire wheels and some paint and clean the frame, also cut up the bed but ran out of zipdisks by the time i got the rough cut out done, so maybe tomarow i'll get some more done and get the bed sitting right down.

well since were trying to bring the site back to life time to update.

got some new parts, Suicide doors upper c arms, new bushings, i think i need to get some new x shafts before i can toss them in, also need to paint them, was thinkin of painting the truck black so what you guys think or metalic green for the suspension parts?

decided to paint the upper control arms today, metalic green, after i get the lowers finished and blasted i'm goin to paint them to match
